Sometimes the Best Thing You Can Make Is a Memory
This past weekend, I stepped away from the soap room, the website updates, the labels, and the never-ending to-do list. Instead, I packed up for a camping trip in beautiful New Brunswick.
Like many small business owners, I often feel like I should always be doing one more thing. One more batch of soap. One more blog post. One more product photo. One more social media update.
The work never really ends.
But neither does life.
As I sat around the campfire, listened to the crackling wood, watched the stars come out, and enjoyed the quiet with someone I love, I was reminded of something that is easy to forget.
Time is our most valuable gift.
Not money.
Not possessions.
Not a bigger house or a busier schedule.
Just time.
The older I get, the more I realize that the memories we create are worth far more than the things we buy. Years from now, I probably won't remember what I crossed off my to-do list that week, but I'll remember the peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee, the laughter around the fire, the fresh air, the beautiful New Brunswick scenery, and simply being present with someone who matters.
Nature has a way of slowing us down.
It reminds us that flowers bloom without rushing. Trees don't compete with each other. Rivers don't worry about tomorrow. Everything simply exists exactly as it should.
Maybe that's one reason I love creating products with ingredients inspired by nature. Whether it's garden-grown herbs, nourishing beef tallow, or essential oils, my goal has always been to encourage a simpler, more intentional way of living.
Sometimes living naturally isn't just about what we put on our skin or use in our homes.
Sometimes it's about unplugging.
Taking the weekend off.
Going for the hike instead of answering another email.
Watching the sunset instead of scrolling through your phone.
Sitting around a campfire telling stories that will be remembered long after the fire has burned out.

Those moments refill us in ways no busy schedule ever can.
When I came home, my work was still waiting for me. The orders, the website, and the products hadn't disappeared.
But I came back refreshed, inspired, and grateful.
If you're reading this, consider giving yourself permission to step away every once in a while.
Take the weekend trip.
Go camping.
Visit the beach.
Spend the afternoon with your family.
Have coffee with a friend.
Put your phone away for a few hours.
Those are the moments that become the stories we tell.
At the end of our lives, I don't think any of us will wish we had spent more time working.
We'll wish for one more campfire.
One more sunset.
One more laugh.
One more weekend spent with the people we love.
Those are the things that truly matter.
And this weekend reminded me of exactly that.
