How Christa’s Creations Began

Christa’s Creations began with a desire to better understand the ingredients being used in my own home.

I wanted simpler ingredient lists, fewer unnecessary additives, and more control over the products my family and I used every day. What started as personal research grew into making soap, skincare, and household products by hand.

Beef tallow quickly became one of my favorite ingredients to work with. It has a long history of use in traditional soap and skincare and gives my products a rich, comforting texture.

In soap, tallow helps create a firm, long-lasting bar with a creamy lather. In body creams, face creams, balms, and lotion bars, it creates a deeply conditioning texture that feels rich without requiring a long list of unnecessary ingredients.

Handmade Soap and Skincare from PEI

Every Christa’s Creations product is made in small batches in Prince Edward Island.

I am involved in each stage of the process—from selecting ingredients and developing recipes to making, pouring, cutting, labelling, and packaging each product.

Some of the herbs and flowers used in my infused oils and tallow are grown in my own PEI garden. Calendula and other botanicals are carefully harvested, dried, and infused for use in selected seasonal skincare and soap recipes.

Because everything is handcrafted, slight differences in colour, shape, scent, texture, and appearance are natural. These small variations are part of what makes every batch unique.
